- In the first week after the surgery, only you need to consume liquids
- In week 2 - 4, you can consume food in same quantities (100g) & frequencies (4 to 5 times a day) as mentioned.
- In week 4 to 6, you can consume soft food.
- After 6weeks, slowly resume eatinga healthy diet.
- Initially, you need to avoid consuming food with high sugar content, like chocolate, cakes, sweets & biscuits. The excessive amount of the insulin may also cause number of unpleasant symptoms which are collectively called as dumping syndrome. Symptoms of the dumping syndrome includes: diarrhea, nausea, abdominal (tummy) pain and light-headedness

- A multivitamin supplement, contains combination of different type of vitamins
- A calcium supplement (the body will requires calcium to maintain the healthy bones)
- An iron supplement
- You will probably be given a perfect exercise plan which starts gradually with low to moderate amounts of the physical exercise, like starting with 10 minutes a day, then slowly increasing day by day.
